Who I Follow

1.  I started my blog because I wanted to start running seriously and it seemed like a good way to keep myself accountable. It also allowed me to fill my family and friends in on my day-to-day life in New York City.

2.   One thing I love seeing on other blogs pictures. Especially of the “every day life” variety. Sometimes a picture can say what words can’t.

3.  Something I love about blogging the outlet it provides and the community. I’m fortunate enough to “follow” some really wonderful individuals who are full of wisdom and who succeed in making me smile daily.

4. A favorite blog post of mine is probably any one of my half marathon race recaps. I think the NYC Half race recap was the most emotional for me to write/go back to read, and continues to be one of my favorites. It was an incredible race that meant a great deal to me.

5. Something my friends in real life know about me that I’ve never before mentioned on my blog is I’m sure I’ve mentioned just about everything on my blog, so I’ll list a few: I hate (really, I hate them) eggs but secretly wish that I liked them, I’ve never had stitches *knocks on wood*, I bite my nails if they aren’t painted, I’ve broken a rib and my right ankle, I’m pretty sensitive about certain things and I cry during the sad parts (or really happy parts) in movies, and I like to substitute my friends’ names for other words in songs to make it their own personal version.

6.  My new favorite blogs to read are (they aren’t new, but they have new things going on!) my friend Rebecca’s blog (moving to NYC THIS WEEKEND!), and my friend Melissa’s blog (just had a darling baby girl on Wednesday!), and the blog of family friends who live in South Korea. Always nice to get updates and see pictures of Natey, Shelby!

7.  Some things I tend to avoid doing on my blog are being negative (I’m sure I am negative sometimes, but I’m more prone to optimism and smiling) and taking myself too seriously.

Now you should play along!
