This isn’t my official time* obviously, but by the look of it I’m 9 seconds off of my 5K PR time. That’s still nothing to sneeze at. I didn’t feel 100% for this race for a number of reasons, but I’m pleased that the end result doesn’t really reflect that.
The course was much hillier than I expected. I knew what to expect on the back stretch because I live in those parts, but the front half of the race was new territory and was surprisingly hilly! It was a fun race, and it was nice to see more of my neighborhood. They had the fire hydrants spraying at the finish line, which provided a much-needed cool down.
Successful race and my planning and time management skills have been superb in regards to work. *Shakes fist triumphantly in face of department-that-shall-remain-nameless.* I will be taking a well-deserved nap this afternoon. Tomorrow is long run Sunday.
