My weekend was spent making the final push for this class of mine. I finished my lab practical last night and all that’s left now is the final on Thursday!
When I wasn’t curled up in my bed with my Anatomy and Physiology book and notes enjoying wondrous air conditioning, I was cleaning, doing laundry, and participating in all manner of domesticism.
I took a quick break to go bid adieu to my darling little Chino. He will be making the cross-country move this weekend and for fear that I wouldn’t be able make the time to see him before he left, I went on Sunday. There were tears. Lots of them. (I still get a little teary thinking about it.) It breaks my heart a little bit, but I know he’s off to more adventures, and that if he can make the transition to City Dog at the age of 10, he’ll definitely be able adjust to the laid back California lifestyle.
I’ll miss you, Chino!
This was a successful weekend.
First, I’m cautiously optimistic that whatever it was that was giving me so much stomach trouble last week has disappeared or is under some sort of control. (Going strong on 3 days without pain + 2 days without nausea + I’ve reintroduced coffee without incident!)
Second, I got to hang out with Chino. Be still my beating heart…
Third, I kicked ass in a race I felt woefully underprepared for. (It’s just 3 miles, but after a squirrely eating week, illness, and no exercise at all I felt underprepared.)
Finally, my Wolverines are Big Ten Co-Champs! Time to head into the B1G tournament and after Selection Sunday, I should be able to firm up the plans in my vacation itinerary. Go BLUE!
Hoping this week passes without too much excitement (and maybe a little more exercise). Only 9 days until I’m wheels up and heading to Tampa for fun in the sun, RB, sporting events galore, green beer, and flip flops! Make it a good week!
