#flashbackfriday
My Father. Canberra Marathon 1992.
I think of him every time I go for a run.
When I was 13, I announced to my Dad that I...

GPOYW: Me with my two favorite guys in the world edition
My dad, me, Mr. B
My 25k race photos arrived last weekend…
As usual, there are some pretty laughable shots, but in this one I look focused (within meters of the finish) and pained (accurate considering the state of my stomach).
Still proud that I managed to finish. On to the next one…
I don’t know any people who are Pro-Fail, but just for the record I’m not…
(Random shirt given to me by the lab manager courtesy of the antibody vendor we use… The back says, “We know antibodies.” Nerdy? Absolutely. Free running shirt? I’ll take it.)
GPOYW - Favorite Comfortable Outfit Edition
Nothing better than a pair of cropped jeans, comfy TOMS, and stripes.
GPOY-Happy Place Edition
And sometimes all you need is a long chat, silly buns, and some goofy times with one of your sisters to make everything right with the world…
Lu and Deeda, I love you both to the moon and back. *Meow meow* Red Car.
GPOYV(acation) - Tampa Round 2 Edition
There was a day filled with green gear, green beer, green rivers, a parade with beads, and silly neon glasses.
There was a day at the beach with sandy feet, rum runners at a beach bar, sun and surf. And several days spent poolside with good tunes and good company. (And miraculously, no sunburn and a little bit of a tan!)
There were many days of sports! Spring Training baseball and NHL hockey with lots of college basketball games and bracket analysis sprinkled in between for good measure.
All in all it was an incredible vacation and I was really sad when it ended. Back to life, back to reality…
GPOY(Runner’s High)
So, I’ve been on cloud nine since finishing my run. So much so in fact, that I’m not actually bothered that my laundry card [still] hasn’t been sent to me and I’m down to my last 3 pairs of clean underwear.
Round 2 of a night with sick Chino* means that there just isn’t enough coffee in all of Manhattan to wake me up this morning. After nearly falling asleep on the train to work (that never happens) I made a bee-line to the nearest coffee place by work. Here’s hoping this helps!
Happy Friday!
*He’s got an appointment with the vet this afternoon and I’m hoping to have him patched up and back to the happy, cough-free Chino I know and love.
