Smile Friday: The Finally *knocks on wood* Healthy Edition!
I have spent the past few
weeks months sick with some illness or another and today, I think it’s safe to say that I’m finally healthy. I took a sick day on Wednesday and managed to get a ton of sleep, which I think has knocked this all out once and for all!
I’m sure the increased sleep, healthy eating, and return to running have all had something to do with my immune system getting with the program. If anything, it has really driven the take-care-of-your-body-and-it-will-take-care-of-you point home. Filling up on crappy food, staying out until all hours of the night, and then sitting on the couch for hours on end really took their toll on me.
I’m even noticing differences in the way my body looks and the way my clothes fit. I haven’t weighed myself because I don’t have a scale and I fear that if I get one I’ll begin to obsess over the number I see, but I have seen subtle differences in my waist, and thighs, and stomach. The core workouts and running, along with the healthy eating actually work! (Go figure…) Talk about motivating. I even managed to drag my butt out of bed this morning to go to the gym for a run! (Which explains the need for a giant coffee.)
